My Autobiography

My name is Alan James Koster Ibaceta and I was born in Santiago, Chile, on September 16th, 1998. My mother's name is Marle and my father's name is Koos.

I have one sister and three brothers. My sister Nicole is a psychologist, my brother Danilo is medical student, and my  other two brothers, Kevin and Gregory, still study at school. I am the son of the middle, so i've never felt very small or very big.

My mother is currently separated from my father, but she has a loving relationship with Fanny, yep! a woman, they have been a couple for 9 years, situation that makes me lucky because a have had two mothers for 9 years. I currently live with all of them in a big house.

My first studies were in a small school called San Francisco Javier, it was very religious and correct. There I made my first friendships and discovered something that fascinated me: the basketball. However I had to leave that school because it dindn't have a secundary education.

Then I applied to a high school called San José de la Preciosa Sangre, where they accepted me immediately. There I made new friends, among them, Diego, better know as JoJo, and I developed drawing skills. I was also in the basketball team, where i won a prize for the best player.
After I started studying at the university of Chile,in the desing career. I am currently in the third year of desing and I have made new friends as Nicolas and Sara.

In my free time I dedicate myself to drawing, playing basketball or playing videogames, although most of the times I dedicate to sleep jeje.

Post 5: My Future Job

Since I was child I have wanted to work in creative industries as an animator or cartoonits. My idea has always been to work drawing comics because I like to draw a lot, and then make them into animations so they can reach to more people.  I guess that was the reason I decided to study graphic design, because if I studied in a career that  is similar to animation I could get better tools to archieve my dream job. Fortunately I have got them. However, life takes different paths, consequently my plans divert too. Now, with my new knowledge gained,  I would like to have my own studio nearby my home, and work with my partner selling t-shirts made with  serigraphy. Both of us will take care of each desing (colours, layout, typography, illustration, among others) and printing (frames, textile painting, and other tools), therefore it will be original and unique.  Right now that is my dream and I know that we can archieve it soon. However, it doesn't mean that I abandon...

What's your favourite TV show / film?

"I am a genius" As I mentioned in previuos post I liked play basketball a lot and this taste for the sport was also present in the series that I saw when I was child. One of those was "Slam Dunk". Slam Dunk is an anime from 90s that deals about the life of Hanamichi Sakuragi, a gang member who becomes a great basketball player, just to try to flirt with a girl from his high school. A complex story with romantic, comic and self-overcoming ingredient, in which the protagonist will gradually discover that he feels a certain passion for this sport, beyond the reason why he initially entered the team. Why I like it so much? Slam Dunk is a masterpiece from the 90s  and also is considered a piooner of sports anime. I really like all of this serie, from his witty jokes to his inspiring speeches. It teaches many valuable morals of life, such as establishing strong bonds with each other, and to never give up. It is an anime that’s been a part of my childho...

Post 1: A Country I would like to visit

I would like to go to Japan, because I am kind of an otaku (haha) and really love that country aesthetics. I know that japanese people is very reserved and are always busy. I am also aware that schools and jobs are very time consuming and demanding. They hang out in places like karaokes, arcades, bars, and like to go drinking after work. If I went to Japan I would like to go to comics or manga shops, see the sakura trees blossom, try the food like ramen and the real sushi, go to Hashiko's memorial, and go shopping. But the thing I would like to do the most is go to a summer fest or Matsuri and see the fireworks. I don't think I would like to live there because life is very expensive, so I would just visit.
