Post 3: My Favorite Cartoon

Since I was little (I don't remenber my age exactly) I have felt a deep interest in anime, the cartoons from USA seem to me a little monotone, and anime doesn't have this problem, in fact, there are many different types of genres for each public, from deep stories (like "Evangelion") to absurd comedies (like "School Rumble"). In anime world, you can finnd anything you like haha.

One the animes that left a mark in me was Dragon Ball Z. I have watched it since I was a child and I have to admit that it is my favourite anime. The story is about Goku and his journey searching the dragon balls, seven magic balls that grant you a wish if you can get a lot of them. In his journey, looking for the dragon balls, Goku will try very hard to become the best martial artist. Goku is a very inocent and pure person, who will always try to do good.

When I was little, this anime made me believe that my whisers could come true if a worked really hard to archieve them. These lessons stay with me until this day and that's why I think this anime is so important to me.

Eventually Goku grows up and became an adult, and I grew up too, even though I still feel like a kid sometimes haha

What are some of your favourite hobbies / pastimes?

Many tastes are going to change with time, but play basketball has been a hobby that I have done from small.🏀 I started practicing it since I was 7 years old. A teacher told me that I was very tall for my age, so he taught me the basics of basketball: how to throw, how to handle the ball, how not to commit fouls, among many others, and after a few games, basketball had already enchanted me. I really liked it because it was easy for me to put the ball in the basket , I was very good ( not wanting to show off ) , which motivated me to continue practicing it. N ow I play almost every weekend and train every Wednesday because I am part of the FAU team. Another of the hobbies I have since childhood is drawing. I always liked comics and cartoons, so I wanted to do them on my own. Why did I choose this career ?

Since I was little I always liked to draw, and this was one of my dreams: be a comic artist. W hen I grew up, I discovered the animation, then i also wanted to dedicate myself to doing that. However, after finishing school I did not know if I could really do that, so I looked for carrers that were related to the drawing, discovering desing and digital animation. In the end I chose desing because I could reach more jobs and not just make animations. My experience at the university studying desing has had ups and downs, but in recent years I have learned things related to what I really want to do in the future: to able to transmit emotions. And for that reasonn I would like to be able to work in an animation studio or video game development, either designing characters or their stories.
